It's a project I’ve been working on for a few years. In 2020 when my young, healthy, 32-year-old son, Matthew, was diagnosed at Vanderbilt with stage 4 Brain Cancer I began creating this project--- to keep my sanity. But tragedy hit in 2021 when Matt’s cancer advanced to his spine and my baby passed away. An unbearable loss for me and yes……I shut down!

Moving Forward
I’m stronger now with the help of my faith, friends & family- husband Chris, and older son, Dominic Barnes. I decided to Honor my son, Matthew, and Support my friend, Sue, who is now battling cancer. Our Calendar is a fundraiser to assist Sue’s family with out-of-pocket expenses that insurances don’t cover. I smiled and told Sue, “We will also plant her a tree so She can watch it Grow.”
I chose eleven fabulous Tennessee Ladies who all gracefully volunteered to be featured in my “2024 Sweet & Sassy PinUp Gals Cancer Charity Calendar”. The calendar highlights classy, glamours, fun-loving, pinup photos of these outstanding, talented, beautiful ladies- all into Character of their present or past remarkable careers or hobbies. Our calendar has been captured by Dan Holland-Gallatin Photographer- at various Sumner County locations, and printed by Dodat Communications- Hendersonville.
